Getting started

How to use your system

Five minutes, once a week. Read this page once, all the way through, before your first session.

The protocol

Five minutes, once a week.

This is the same card that ships inside your kit. Read it all the way through before your first session, then keep the printed one with the box.

First session only

Patch test

One stamp and three drops of serum behind the ear. Wait 24 hours. If there's no rash or lasting redness, you're clear to start.

Pick your day and keep it

An evening works best — you sleep on the serum and you're not styling over it before the six hours are up. Same day every week is the whole protocol.

Every session — five minutes

  1. 01

    Clean

Wash your scalp with a mild shampoo and dry it completely. Wash your hands. No styling product, oil or dry shampoo in the area.

  2. 02

    Sterilise the head

Soak or spray the micro-infusion head with 70% isopropyl alcohol and leave it 5 minutes. Let it air-dry fully. Water alone does not sterilise. Never use anyone else's device, and never let anyone use yours.

  3. 03

    Load and part

Fit one 5 ml serum vial. Part your hair into rows about 1 cm apart so the head meets scalp, not hair, and work one small section at a time.

  4. 04

    Stamp

Press straight down, lift straight up. Light pressure — the 0.5 mm depth does the work, not your hand. Overlap each stamp by about half. Two passes over any one area, maximum.

  5. 05

    Leave it on

Don't rinse, towel or style over it. Give the serum six hours minimum; overnight is better. Then you're done until next week.

The one rule that matters

Never drag, roll or twist the head across your scalp.

Stamping opens clean micro-channels that close over. Dragging tears them sideways — that is the single most common cause of irritation, prolonged redness and scarring.

Straight down, straight up, every time.

Aftercare

After the session

The 24 hours after

Nothing else goes on your scalp for a full day.

  • No shampoo, styling product, minoxidil, retinol, exfoliant or alcohol-based tonic.
  • Skip the gym, sauna, steam room, pool and hot tub — sweat and chlorine on open channels is how infections start.
  • Stay out of direct sun, leave the tight hat off for a few hours, and don't scratch.

Mild redness or warmth for an hour or two is normal and should be gone by morning.

Care and storage

Clean it straight after use, every time.

  • Rinse under warm running water, soak in 70% isopropyl alcohol for 5 minutes, then stand it needle-side up in the case to air-dry.
  • Never towel the needles — it bends them.
  • Store the head dry and capped, the serum cool and out of sunlight.
  • One vial per session; discard it after opening.
  • Fit the new head that comes with each kit — a blunt needle tears where a sharp one enters cleanly.

Safety

Safety and what to expect

This is a cosmetic device, not a medical treatment, and no substitute for a doctor's advice. If anything below applies to you, speak to one before your first session.

Do not use it if

  • The skin in the area is broken, cut, sunburnt or irritated
  • You have an active scalp infection, folliculitis, boils or cold sores
  • Eczema, psoriasis or dermatitis is flaring on your scalp
  • You have a history of keloid or raised scarring
  • You've taken isotretinoin (Accutane) in the last 6 months
  • You take blood thinners or have a bleeding or clotting disorder
  • You're immunosuppressed, on chemotherapy, or your diabetes isn't well controlled
  • You've had a hair transplant in the last 6 months — ask your surgeon first
  • You are under 18

Stop and see a doctor if

Redness spreads beyond the treated area · swelling or pus appears · yellow crusting forms · pain worsens after 48 hours instead of easing · you develop a fever · or you get a blistering, intensely itchy rash.

These are signs of infection or allergic reaction. They need a doctor, not another session.

Normal · not normal

Normal Stop and reassess
Pinprick redness for an hour or two
Redness still spreading the next day
Mild warmth or tightness
Throbbing pain, swelling or heat
A brief tingle as the serum lands
Burning that doesn't fade within minutes
A few tiny red dots
Actual bleeding — you're pressing far too hard
More shedding in weeks 2–4
Sudden heavy shedding after month 3

If you use anything else on your scalp

Micro-channels increase how much of anything gets absorbed — the point, and also the risk. Apply nothing but our serum on session day. Minoxidil, retinoids, acids, benzoyl peroxide, medicated shampoos and alcohol-based tonics all wait a full 24 hours.

On a prescription treatment, or unsure? Ask your doctor first.

Getting the most out of it

  • Once a week is the protocol, not a minimum.

Stamping is a healing signal, and that signal takes days to run its course. A second session mid-week restarts the process before it finishes — you get irritation, not hair. Never twice in one week.

  • Same day, every week.

The men who get results are the ones who stopped deciding each week whether to do it.

  • Expect a shed around weeks 2–4.

Follicles restarting push out the old hair first. It settles.

  • Judge it on months, not weeks.

A follicle has to finish a growth cycle before new hair is visible at the surface. That's the biology, and nothing shortens it — most men who quit, quit before the timeline was ever up.
